Job Description

**Job Title:** AI Engineer **Role Summary:** Develop and integrate AI‑driven product features powered by large language models (LLMs). Focus on applied AI, prompt engineering, retrieval‑augmented generation, and orchestrating multi‑step AI workflows to deliver reliable, scalable user‑facing capabilities. **Expectations:** - 3+ years of experience delivering AI/ML‑adjacent product features. - Proven ability to design prompt pipelines, evaluate model outputs, and balance quality, latency, and cost. - Strong product intuition and collaborative mindset with design and product teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement LLM‑powered features using prompt engineering, structured outputs, and tool/function calling. - Build and maintain retrieval‑augmented generation systems (chunking, embeddings, retrieval strategies). - Create prompt pipelines for reasoning, extraction, classification, summarization, and planning tasks. - Orchestrate multi‑step AI workflows (agents, tools, memory, retries, fallbacks). - Integrate AI components into production services and APIs. - Evaluate prompt quality via qualitative analysis, quantitative metrics, golden datasets, human review, and A/B testing. - Mitigate hallucinations, prompt injection, and other safety concerns. - Stay current with LLM advancements, best practices, and emerging tooling. **Required Skills:** - Hands‑on experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open‑source models) and LLMOps. - Expertise in prompt engineering and retrieval‑augmented generation. - Strong Python programming; API integration experience. - Familiarity with AI evaluation methods and safety mitigation techniques. - Ability to deploy and monitor custom models in production environments. - Understanding of vector databases and embeddings (preferred). - Experience with agentic systems, planners, or memory architectures (nice to have). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer) are advantageous but not mandatory.
