Job Description

Job Title: Founding Software Engineer Role Summary Senior backend and AI systems engineer responsible for designing and building scalable APIs, data ingestion pipelines, and AI-enabled products. Spearheads architecture, prototyping, and customer‑driven feature development while shaping technical culture and product roadmap. Expectations • 5–10 years of professional software development experience. • Proven track record of building production‑grade backend systems and APIs. • Self‑driven ownership of end‑to‑end projects, rapid prototyping, and iterative delivery with user feedback. • Ability to collaborate closely with enterprise customers to translate workflows into product features. • Willingness to contribute to hiring, culture, and strategic decisions as an early engineering leader. Key Responsibilities - Design and implement scalable backend and API solutions using Python, Java, or Go. - Build and maintain ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines for structured and unstructured data. - Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, integrating services such as Redis and Temporal. - Incorporate emerging AI technologies (LLMs, agentic systems) into backend architecture. - Consult with customers to understand requirements and translate them into functional product features. - Lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and influence the product roadmap. - Drive continuous improvement in code quality, performance, and reliability. Required Skills - Backend/API development (Python, Java, Go). - Cloud architecture and services (AWS, Redis, Temporal). - Design of horizontally scalable, fault‑tolerant systems. - Experience with data pipelines for both structured and unstructured data. - Familiarity with large language models, agentic systems, or AI/LLM‑enabled products. - Rapid prototyping, iterative development, and strong debugging skills. - Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer‑focused mindset. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. - Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar preferred (not mandatory).
