Job title: Business Development Director – Life Sciences Role Summary: Lead global enterprise business development for the life sciences sector, partnering with cross‑functional teams to secure multi‑million dollar contracts and drive revenue growth. Expectations: - Achieve and exceed annual new‑business targets (≥$2 M per year). - Close high‑value accounts, maintain pipeline health, and deliver on sales forecasts. - Operate independently with minimal oversight, ensuring all sales activities are accurately captured in Salesforce. - Travel up to 30 % for client meetings and industry events. Key Responsibilities: - Prospect, qualify, and maintain relationships with Fortune 500 and mid‑market life‑sciences customers. - Develop and execute territory, account, and opportunity plans, including RFP/RFQ/RFI responses, SOWs, and quotes. - Manage Salesforce data: forecasts, pipelines, activities, and opportunity metrics. - Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration (Program Directors, Project Managers, Marketing) to align value proposition and service offerings. - Drive lead generation, key account targeting, and full sales cycle closure. - Own designated territories, verticals, and service lines, ensuring alignment with global strategy. - Provide analytical insights to inform pricing, margin, and growth decisions. Required Skills: - 3+ years of enterprise B2B professional services/technology sales experience, specifically within life‑sciences localization. - Proven track record closing ≥$2 M in new business annually for two consecutive years. - Deep understanding of customer‑centric sales methodology and lead qualification. - Strong negotiation, persuasion, and relationship‑building abilities. - Analytical, data‑driven decision making; comfortable with financial and operational analysis. - Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills. - Tenacity, urgency, and ability to close with large, complex customers. - Commercial acumen and industry awareness.
