Job Description
**Job title:** Associate Solution Engineer **Role Summary:** Provide technical support and solution engineering for the Appian platform, addressing complex customer challenges across the full stack. Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, delivering high‑quality, root‑cause–based solutions while maintaining platform availability, performance, and security. **Expectations:** - Outstanding problem‑solving and analytical abilities. - Exceptional verbal and written communication with customers and stakeholders worldwide. - Willingness to work after business hours and weekends (up to 14 weeks per year). - Curiosity about software development, data analytics, and systems administration without a full‑time coding focus. **Key Responsibilities:** - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve customer issues on the Appian platform. - Configure, install, and upgrade applications and database components. - Document technical solutions, create knowledge‑base articles, and share best practices. - Collaborate with product, engineering, and ops teams to drive continuous improvement. - Provide post‑sale support to maintain customer satisfaction and platform health. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. - Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, PHP, etc.). - Experience with RDBMS technologies (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.). - Familiarity with Linux and Windows system administration. - Basic data‑analysis capabilities. - Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities. - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - Availability for after‑hours and weekend support as required.
