Job title: Staff Engineer Role Summary: Lead delivery of large‑scale features and projects, partner with Product and Design to align on business and user goals, influence engineering best practices across squads, and mentor senior developers to elevate technical excellence. Expectations: - Deliver complex, technically sound projects from design to completion with minimal oversight. - Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks before they impact delivery. - Raise engineering standards within your squad and influence practices in other squads. - Mentor engineers to strengthen technical depth and delivery capability. Key Responsibilities: - Own end‑to‑end delivery of large features or projects. - Partner with Product and Design to ensure solutions meet business and user needs. - Lead technical design, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability. - Influence cross‑squad engineering strategy and best practices. - Mentor senior developers, providing technical guidance and feedback. - Drive adoption of modern engineering practices (CI/CD, observability, test automation). - Leverage AI to improve quality, delivery speed, and developer productivity across the SDLC. Required Skills: - Deep expertise in distributed systems, multi‑tenant SaaS, and API‑first platforms. - Proven ability to lead project delivery end‑to‑end. - Strong mentoring and coaching abilities. - Familiarity with scaling systems and operational reliability. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and test automation. - Knowledge of leveraging AI/ML for software quality and productivity. - 8+ years of professional software engineering experience. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (equivalent experience accepted). - No mandatory certifications required.
