**Job Title:** Director of Artificial Intelligence
**Role Summary:**
Senior leadership position responsible for defining, executing, and scaling an enterprise-wide AI strategy within a regulated healthcare environment. Oversees AWS-based data platform modernization, builds agentic AI solutions, and ensures HIPAA/PHI compliance while delivering measurable business ROI.
**Expectations:**

- Lead a high‑performing team (50+ professionals).
- Translate complex AI concepts into actionable executive insights.
- Drive measurable ROI from AI initiatives.
- Maintain data governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define and lead enterprise AI and data science strategy.
- Build and scale agentic AI solutions (intelligent automation, chatbots, decision‑support).
- Modernize AWS‑based data and analytics platforms, including legacy migrations.
- Partner with product, engineering, and business leaders to embed AI into customer‑facing platforms.
- Translate technical concepts into clear executive insights and recommendations.
- Mentor, grow, and manage a multidisciplinary AI/analytics organization.
- Establish governance for HIPAA/PHI‑compliant data environments, security, and data masking.
- Drive measurable ROI and business value from AI and machine learning initiatives.
- Influence roadmap prioritization across data platforms, APIs, and analytics tooling.
**Required Skills:**
- Senior leadership experience in Data Science, AI, or Advanced Analytics.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms, especially AWS.
- Proven application of AI/ML in healthcare, insurance, or regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, PHI, and data governance.
- Ability to operate at both executive and hands‑on technical levels.
- Track record of building and leading large, multidisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder influence skills.
- Proficiency with machine learning frameworks, agentic AI, APIs, chatbots, dashboards, legacy system migration, data masking.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent are highly desirable.
