OT CyberSecurity Expert
**Role Summary**
Freelance, fully remote cybersecurity specialist tasked with protecting OT/ICS environments in critical infrastructure. Works across engineering, operations, and IT security teams to assess risks, implement controls, and develop secure architecture aligned with IEC 62443, NIST CSF, and ISO 27000.
**Expactations**
- 6–12‑month freelance engagement, renewable
- Fully remote work with Paris‑based stakeholder coordination
- Deliverables include vulnerability assessments, threat models, incident response plans, and security strategy documentation
- Regular virtual meetings, progress reports, and delivery of technical artifacts
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct comprehensive OT environment assessments and vulnerability scans
- Design, implement, and validate security controls (segmentation, hardening, secure baselines) per IEC 62443 & NIST frameworks
- Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident response activities for OT systems
- Advise on best practices for PLC, SCADA, DCS, IIoT, and industrial protocol security
- Produce technical documentation, security roadmaps, and configuration guidelines
- Coordinate with vendors, internal stakeholders, and remote teams to align security measures
**Required Skills**
- Minimum 5 years OT/ICS cybersecurity experience
- Deep knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, DCS, IIoT, Modbus, OPC‑UA, Profibus, and other industrial protocols
- Expertise in network architecture, segmentation, firewalls, VLANs, and DMZ design
- Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIST CSF, ISO 27000 frameworks
- Experience in vulnerability assessment and security tooling
- Proven ability to collaborate remotely with cross‑functional teams
- Fluency in English; French language skill beneficial
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Security (or equivalent experience)
- Certifications (preferred): GICSP, GRID, ISA/IEC 62443, CISSP, or equivalent OT/ICS credentials
