Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Role Summary:
Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform. Collaborate across DevOps, security, and application teams to ensure compliance, performance, and reliability of cloud solutions.
Expectations:
- Deliver end-to-end AWS infrastructure solutions that meet security, governance, and performance standards.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment pipelines using Terraform.
- Provide operational support, monitoring, and incident response for production environments.
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation and contribute to best‑practice guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.) in line with business and security requirements.
- Write, review, and maintain Terraform modules and state management for reproducible infrastructure.
- Integrate infrastructure automation into CI/CD workflows (Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Monitor system performance, set thresholds, and proactively optimize resource utilization.
- Develop and test disaster‑recovery and high‑availability strategies.
- Enforce compliance with security frameworks (NIST, ISO, SOC, GDPR) and internal governance policies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.
Required Skills:
- Deep expertise in AWS cloud services and architecture patterns.
- Proficiency in Terraform (modules, workspaces, remote state).
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK, etc.).
- Understanding of security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional (preferred).
- Terraform Associate certification (preferred).
