Job title: Desktop Engineering (Windows) – Male/Female
Role Summary:
Design, deploy, and maintain Windows desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile solutions for a large enterprise client. Manage and optimize the SCCM/ Ivanti portfolio, support mass deployments, patch management, and mobile device management. Act as a Level 3 technical lead, translating business requirements into Microsoft solutions and ensuring smooth operation of front‑ and back‑office applications.
Expectations:
- Deliver secure, compliant, and up‑to‑date desktop platforms through effective packaging and deployment.
- Drive automation and process improvement for workstation and mobile device lifecycle.
- Provide expert support and knowledge transfer to first‑ and second‑line teams.
- Maintain continuous improvement through proactive technology scouting and KPI reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain application packages (MSI, App-V, etc.).
- Update and manage PC, laptop, and tablet image masters.
- Execute large‑scale deployments and remote distributions.
- Administer patch management for endpoints and servers; manage associated agents.
- Gather requirements, design, qualify, and deploy Microsoft solutions.
- Industrialize solutions for workstation and process optimization.
- Implement technical solutions with DOSI colleagues (architecture, support, studies).
- Monitor and report KPIs; produce relevant dashboards.
- Administer and architect SCCM; integrate or oversee Ivanti/Landesk services.
- Manage MDM for touch terminals and smartphones (Soti, Ivanti).
- Resolve complex technical incidents; act as escalation point for N1/N2 technicians.
- Engage autonomously with vendors; lead cross‑functional project initiatives.
- Ensure operational readiness of Microsoft Front Office and Back Office applications.
Required Skills:
- Strong command of SCCM (installation, configuration, maintenance).
- Experience with Ivanti/Landesk product suite.
- Proficiency in MDM (Soti, Ivanti) for mobile devices.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365/Exchange environments.
- Packaging tools (WiX, PowerShell, Group Policy, App-V).
- PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Problem‑solving, escalation handling, and third‑party vendor management.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Certifications: SCSM, MTSE or equivalent; Ivanti Certified Administrator (ICA) or MDM certification preferred.
- Additional Microsoft certifications (MCSE, MCSA: Windows Server, MS-100) desired.
