Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Financial Accountant (Fixed Term Contract) **Role Summary:** Lead financial accounting for multiple holding entities, driving accurate month‑end close, balance sheet governance, statutory reporting, and performance analysis. Partner with Treasury, Tax, Legal, and Finance Systems teams to ensure compliant, timely reporting across UK, Germany, Luxembourg, and Singapore operations. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑quality financial statements and management reports within tight deadlines. - Maintain robust controls and reconcile balances with minimal variance. - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and auditability. - Communicate findings clearly to finance and non‑finance stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own day‑to‑day AP, group cost recharges, and journal entries (accruals, prepayments, allocations). - Prepare/review journal entries, ensuring alignment with local GAAP and IFRS group reporting. - Build and reconcile balance sheet schedules; investigate and resolve reconciling items. - Prepare statutory financial statements for UK, DE, and LU; lead audit delivery (PBC, queries, timetable). - Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary for group performance packs. - Execute intercompany transactions in collaboration with Treasury, Tax, and Legal. - Identify and close control/process gaps; develop SOPs and checklists. - Maintain system proficiency in SAP Business ByDesign and OneStream; support system enhancements. - Review Singapore/SEA outputs for completeness and reporting readiness. **Required Skills:** - ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification. - 3+ years in senior accounting, month‑end close, and statutory reporting. - Proficient in ERP (SAP) and advanced Excel. - Strong balance‑sheet reconciliation and variance analysis. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English. - Organizational, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities under pressure. - Solution‑driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. **Required Education & Certifications:** - ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
