Job Description
Job Title: Power Systems Technician Role Summary: Deliver mechanical and electrical maintenance, repair, and installation of power supply systems across broadcast and utilities infrastructure with minimal supervision. Operates as part of a multi‑skill technical team, executing scheduled works, fault response, and system upgrades while ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards. Expectations: - Execute planned maintenance and corrective actions on power, HVAC, switchgear, generator, and UPS systems. - Respond accurately and efficiently to fault calls and outages within the assigned service area. - Adhere to company standards, policies, and safety regulations. - Maintain detailed documentation and reports of all activities. - Build positive customer relationships through effective communication. - Participate in scheduled 24/7 call‑out roster as required. Key Responsibilities: 1. Plan and perform routine maintenance on power supplies, HVAC units, ACBs, generator sets, static UPS units, and switchgear. 2. Diagnose and repair faults in power and control systems, restoring service in accordance with company policies. 3. Support upgrades, modifications, and system enhancements following approved instructions. 4. Conduct testing, measurements, and commissioning to verify compliance with regulatory and industry standards. 5. Record all service activities, generate trend reports, and update knowledge base. 6. Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to coordinate works and provide technical advice. 7. Participate in 24/7 on‑call schedule, traveling to service locations and performing overnight stays when required. 8. Operate safely, complying with health, safety, and environmental legislation and company SHEQ policy. Required Skills: - Proficiency in mechanical and electrical servicing of power distribution equipment. - Strong knowledge of power supply principles, HVAC operations, ACBs, generators, UPS systems, and static switchgear. - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation. - Troubleshooting and corrective maintenance skills. - Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental regulations. - Excellent communication and customer‑service skills. - Willingness to travel to sites and work overnight as necessary. Required Education & Certifications: - City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition (or 17th Edition) – Electrical Regulations. - Full UK driving licence. - Previous field service experience or completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship in a similar environment.

Ensure high availability, performance, security, and compliance while aligning infrastructure strategy with business priorities. **Expectations** - Manage people and platform resources effectively. - Deliver on service level objectives, cost targets, and security compliance. - Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Coordinate with senior stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to align infrastructure with business objectives. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Lead and develop an infrastructure and platforms team. 2. Maintain 99.9%+ uptime and optimal performance for servers, virtual environments, databases, and networked services. 3. Set, monitor, and report on KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics. 4. Oversee budgeting, resourcing, vendor management, and license compliance. 5.
