Job Description

**Job title** Remote Infrastructure Engineer **Role Summary** Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable infrastructure for a global messaging platform. Lead automation, monitoring, and deployment practices; ensure secure, efficient operations across multi‑cluster Kubernetes environments using GitOps workflows. **Expectations** - Deliver reliable, cost‑effective infrastructure that supports high traffic messaging services. - Own end‑to‑end lifecycle of infrastructure components, from design to retirement, with minimal hand‑holding. - Drive continuous improvement of dev‑ops processes and tooling. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect and implement Terraform modules for cloud resources, ensuring modularity and scalability. - Maintain production GitOps pipelines (preferably ArgoCD) for automated, declarative deployments. - Manage Kubernetes clusters (GKE preferred, multi‑cluster environments) and enforce cluster‑security best practices. - Configure and maintain monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana) and secret management (Vault) solutions. - Develop scripts and small tools in Python, Go, or Bash to automate routine infra tasks. - Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post‑mortem documentation. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into infrastructure solutions. **Required Skills** - 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering. - Deep proficiency with Terraform (modules, tests, multi‑tenant structuring). - Strong GitOps experience, especially with ArgoCD. - Solid Kubernetes knowledge; GKE experience and multi‑cluster management a plus. - Modern CI/CD pipeline experience (any tool). - Hands‑on with Vault, Prometheus, Grafana. - Programming in Python, Go, or Bash for infra automation. - Fluent English writing and speaking. - Growth mindset, proactive problem‑solving, and ownership orientation. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred). - Relevant certifications (e.g., GCP Associate Cloud Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Associate) are advantageous but not mandatory.
