Job Description
**Job Title:** Analog Design Engineer Intern **Role Summary:** Support the design, development, verification, and characterization of high‑speed analog and mixed‑signal circuits used in data‑communication products. Work with senior engineers on PLLs, equalizers, optical/cable receivers and drivers, leveraging BiCMOS/CMOS technologies and advanced CAD tools. **Expectations:** - Demonstrate quick learning and self‑motivation. - Contribute independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced engineering team. - Progress from basic tasks to increasingly complex design challenges over a 12‑16‑month term. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and simulate analog/mixed‑signal blocks (PLL, equalizer, receiver, driver). - Perform layout and verification using Cadence Virtuoso or comparable tools. - Conduct circuit characterization and performance analysis. - Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Skill, TCL) for design and validation flows. - Document design decisions, test results, and provide status updates to mentors. - Participate in design reviews and apply feedback from senior engineers. **Required Skills:** - Strong understanding of analog circuit fundamentals. - Basic knowledge of transistor‑level design and analysis (preferred). - Familiarity with CAD circuit design tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso) – advantageous. - Experience with MATLAB and/or scripting languages such as Python – advantageous. - Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. - Expected graduation date aligned with internship start (May 2026). - No specific certifications required; technical coursework in analog/mixed‑signal design preferred.
