Job Description
Job title: Network Systems Engineer – Toulouse – F/H Role Summary: Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN network architectures for a software publishing client. Lead technical evaluations, proof‑of‑concepts, and pilot deployments while ensuring alignment with security, routing, and load‑balancing standards. Provide N3 technical support to partners and train internal teams on new solutions. Expectations: - Develop and recommend the most suitable network architecture based on market analysis and client context. - Conduct technology scouting, source hardware/software, and document findings. - Validate equipment qualification through lab benchmarking. - Deploy new solutions on pilot sites and oversee go‑live. - Produce thorough documentation and deliver training sessions. - Provide third‑tier technical support in collaboration with software vendors. Key Responsibilities: - Architect LAN level‑2/3 networks, firewalls, VPN IPsec, BGP routing, load balancers, Wi‑Fi, and radio technologies. - Evaluate and select equipment from vendors (Cisco, Huawei, Extreme Networks, F5, Fortinet, Stormshield). - Manage implementation of POCs and pilot deployments. - Maintain and update network design documentation and operational procedures. - Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and incidents. - Liaise with external partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN design, routing, switching, firewall, VPN, load balancing, Wi‑Fi, and radio technologies. - Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Huawei, Extreme Networks, F5, Fortinet, Stormshield devices. - Ability to conduct lab benchmarks and validate hardware/software. - Proficiency in network configuration, parameter tuning, and performance analysis. - Excellent verbal and written communication, with an aptitude for clear documentation and training delivery. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s (Bac+5) or higher in Computer Science or equivalent, with a focus on networking. - Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar network engineering role. - Professional networking certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, RHCE, JNCIP) are an asset.
