Job Title: Director, Software Engineering in Test (SET)
Role Summary: Leads the organization’s Software Engineering in Test strategy, driving standardization, automation, and AI‑enabled quality assurance across the entire development lifecycle. Owns the development of scalable testing frameworks, establishes quality metrics, and fosters a federated engineering culture that integrates testing into every phase of product delivery.

• Champion “automate everything” philosophy, advancing from manual to intelligent, adaptive testing.
• Align QA/SET initiatives with business goals to enable rapid, reliable releases.
• Build and maintain high‑performing, cross‑functional teams that embed testing expertise into all engineering roles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and evolve automated test frameworks and environments for functional, integration, system, and performance testing.
• Drive adoption of AI/ML solutions for test generation, self‑healing tests, code reviews, and incident triage.
• Define and oversee quality engineering OKRs, metrics, and dashboards.
• Standardize testing practices, policies, and tooling across multiple product lines.
• Partner with DevOps, security, and compliance teams to embed testability, performance, and security into the SDLC.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating emerging testing trends and GenAI tools.
• Communicate strategy, progress, and metrics to senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Required Skills:
• Executive leadership and organizational influence.
• Deep expertise in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG).
• Experience with performance and security testing (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, OWASP ZAP).
• Knowledge of AI/ML for software testing and data‑driven quality insights.
• Strong program management, prioritization, and delivery in fast‑changing environments.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, cloud, and infrastructure as code.
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (minimum).
• 8+ years of software QA/engineering experience, 3+ years in a leadership role.
• ISTQB Advanced Level or equivalent QA certification preferred.
• Agile or project‑management certification (CSM, PMI‑ACP, Prince2) advantageous.
• Familiarity with financial‑services regulatory compliance (e.g., PCI‑DSS, SOC‑2) is a plus.
