Job Description
**Job Title:** Machine Learning Researcher **Role Summary:** Conduct cutting‑edge research and development on speech synthesis for on‑device voice AI. Advance speech processing techniques, build high‑quality proprietary speech datasets, and prototype models that run efficiently on CPUs. **Expactations:** - Deliver publishable research outcomes and prototype implementations. - Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate research into products. - Contribute to open‑source codebases and internal repositories. - Stay current with state‑of‑the‑art multimodal LLMs and speech technologies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and evaluate novel speech synthesis algorithms. - Develop and fine‑tune models using PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow. - Create, curate, and maintain proprietary speech datasets for training and testing. - Conduct experiments with multimodal large language models (vision, audio, speech). - Benchmark model performance, optimize for CPU inference, and document results. - Publish research findings internally and, when appropriate, externally. - Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, reproducible code in GitHub. **Required Skills:** - Strong expertise in speech synthesis and speech processing. - Proficiency with Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow). - Experience with multimodal LLMs and audio‑visual data pipelines. - Ability to design experiments, analyze results, and iterate quickly. - Solid understanding of data collection, annotation, and dataset management. - Good communication skills for presenting research and collaborating cross‑functionally. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum MSc (or equivalent) in Machine Learning, Speech & Language Processing, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. - At least 2 years of professional experience in machine learning or speech research.
