Data Migration Consultant

Job Description

Job Title: Data Migration Consultant Role Summary: Lead end‑to‑end migration of legacy operational and finance data into Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Dynamics CE). Utilize analysis, mapping, extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading processes across varied source systems, ensuring accurate, repeatable transfers under tight delivery deadlines. Expectations: - Deliver reliable, repeatable data migrations independently. - Resolve migration issues through to resolution, including post‑migration support. - Analyze and document undocumented legacy systems. - Communicate migration progress and outcomes to stakeholders. - Support off‑hours and weekend migration windows when required. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze legacy source systems and data models for each acquisition. - Design source‑to‑target mappings to Dynamics CE. - Perform ETL operations: extract, cleanse, transform, load using SQL, SSIS, and related tools. - Resolve data inconsistencies, missing or incorrect records under time pressure. - Provide post‑migration BAU support and troubleshooting. - Collaborate with data owners and business users to validate data accuracy. - Execute migrations during non‑business hours as scheduled. Required Skills: - Proven experience with CRM data migrations, preferably to Microsoft Dynamics 365. - Strong understanding of relational data models, data structures, and transformation logic. - Hands‑on proficiency in SQL and SSIS; familiarity with KingswaySoft is a plus. - Ability to work autonomously in high‑pressure, delivery‑focused environments. - Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Effective verbal and written communication skills. - Optional: Python (PySpark/Pandas/NumPy) for data manipulation. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. - Microsoft Dynamics CRM certification preferred.
