Job Title: ESG & Sustainability Intern
Job Description: **Job title:** ESG & Sustainability Intern **Role Summary:** Provide end‑to‑end support for ESG reporting and documentation of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. Design and implement a structured ESG framework, manage permitting, supply‑chain traceability, end‑of‑life procedures, and produce accurate ESG reports for internal stakeholders and external partners. **Expectations:** - 6‑month internship, full‑time commitment, immediate start required. - Demonstrate ownership of tasks with minimal supervision. - Deliver project outcomes on agreed deadlines and maintain high data integrity. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and implement a comprehensive ESG documentation framework for each BESS project. - Collect, summarize, and verify environmental permits and compliance files from raw‑material sourcing to operation. - Track battery supply‑chain details (manufacturer, chemistry, origin), transport, storage, and installation to ensure traceability. - Define, document, and monitor end‑of‑life, recycling, or disposal procedures and partners. - Gather ESG data from project, operations, and procurement teams and prepare periodic ESG reports for internal use and external stakeholders (investors, regulators, clients). - Conduct gap analysis to identify data gaps, compliance risks, and recommend improvements to strengthen ESG reporting. - Raise internal awareness and establish ESG guidelines and best practices across BESS projects. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical mindset; ability to structure data, synthesize complex information, and translate insights into actionable recommendations. - Independent, proactive, comfortable managing multidisciplinary projects. - Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with technical and non‑technical colleagues. - Detail‑oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and ability to meet deadlines. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in sustainability, environmental sciences, engineering, economics, public policy or related field. - Fluent in English (oral and written); native fluency in Dutch or French preferred.
