Job Description
**Job Title:** Project Cost Manager – MEA Region **Role Summary:** Lead the financial performance of automotive projects in the Middle East and Africa region. Own the project costbook, forecasted total product cost (TPC), and related risk portfolio. Drive cost optimization, budgeting, and financial decision support across cross‑functional teams, ensuring projects meet economic targets. **Expectations:** - Deliver net TPC and expense reports on time with high data integrity. - Provide actionable cost‑reduction plans and risk mitigation strategies. - Maintain accurate budgets and forecast models for all project phases. **Key Responsibilities:** - Establish and monitor project economic baseline and update forecasted TPC. - Build, update, and manage risk‑opportunity portfolio for TPC and investment costs. - Consolidate global project expenses (make/buy, launch, supplier, HR, validation). - Lead cost optimization initiatives to achieve economic targets. - Contribute to convergence step defining global economic objectives with Product Planning. - Develop and maintain investment cost scenarios, profitability studies, and pricing framework. - Provide financial targets and detailed sub‑targets to engineering, sourcing, and other stakeholders. - Manage annual project budget, prepare expense framing, and control actual vs. budget variances. - Lead action plans with purchasing and engineering to meet forecasted costs. - Control and validate expense workflows and financial closings. - Coordinate first serial pricing with Finance and Purchasing. - Transfer cost-related activities to life-cycle teams during product launch. - Update TPC risks and opportunities for serial life projects. **Required Skills:** - Strong financial analysis and forecasting. - Proficient in costbook tools and risk management. - Excellent cross‑functional collaboration (product, engineering, platform, purchasing, finance). - Target‑focused, result‑oriented, disciplined, committed. - Comfortable with large data sets and detailed cost structures. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Master’s degree or Engineer‑level qualification in economics, finance, or related field. - Minimum 10 years’ experience in automotive cost management, financial planning, or a similar economic role. - Fluency in Arabic, French, and English (spoken and written). ---
