Job Description
Job Title: European Business Development Manager – Power Burners (Oil & Gas) Role Summary Commercial engineer responsible for driving growth of power burner solutions across Europe. Leads initial customer engagement, technical feasibility, proposal development, and commercial negotiations for oil & gas, petrochemical, and power generation markets. Expactations - Own the end‑to‑end B2B sales cycle, converting enquiries into signed contracts. - Manage forecasting, pipeline reporting, and sales targets. - Coordinate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to ensure smooth hand‑over and post‑order support. - Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape. Key Responsibilities - Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across the UK and EMEA. - Lead early‑stage discussions, feasibility studies, and project scoping. - Conduct customer site visits, plant surveys, and technical assessments. - Design engineered solutions, perform equipment sizing and system optimisation. - Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals. - Present technical concepts to customers and senior stakeholders. - Negotiate contracts, close orders, and manage payment terms. - Handover won projects to execution teams and provide post‑sale support. Required Skills - Strong engineering judgement combined with commercial acumen. - Proven ability to sell engineered solutions or capital equipment. - Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. - Ability to manage complex technical and commercial discussions. - Logical thinker with problem‑solving orientation. - Comfortable working autonomously and meeting tight deadlines. - Willingness to travel internationally across UK, Europe, and broader EMEA. Required Education & Certifications - Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline. - Experience in industrial engineering, energy, oil & gas, or petrochemical sectors. - Knowledge of combustion or burner systems advantageous but not mandatory.
