Job Description: Job title: Software Engineer (Nodejs/TypeScript Backend) Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain scalable multi‑tenant Node.js/TypeScript services, APIs, and integrations for a GenAI cloud platform. Own end‑to‑end features from design through production, ensuring robust performance, security, and compliance in a cloud‑native environment. Expactations: - Deliver fully functional backend components within sprint cycles. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on architecture decisions and technical roadmaps. - Adhere to coding standards, CI/CD best practices, and security guidelines. - Conduct thorough testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer for released features. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain Node.js/TypeScript services, APIs, and micro‑services for a multi‑tenant SaaS architecture. - Manage relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, HANA), perform schema migrations, and optimize SQL queries. - Implement tenant lifecycle management (onboarding, configuration, cleanup) and data isolation. - Build integrations using REST and event‑driven patterns. - Deploy and operate services on cloud platforms; optionally on SAP BTP using CAP, HDI containers, or approuter. - Contribute to GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Docker containerization, and automated deployment workflows. - Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning, and release coordination. - Engage with DevOps, security, and support teams to ensure high availability and performance. Required Skills: - 3–5 years of professional software development experience. - Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development. - Experience with cloud‑native principles (12‑factor apps, configuration, logging, scaling). - Solid understanding of relational database design and SQL optimization. - Hands‑on CI/CD pipeline setup and container‑based deployment (Docker). - Ability to own end‑to‑end features and collaborate across teams. - Clear communication skills in English (written and spoken). Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Professional certifications not mandatory, but knowledge of SAP BTP, CAP, or GenAI concepts is advantageous.
