**Job title:** Lead Functional Architect (Transact AA)
**Role Summary:**
Lead functional architect responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and training on the Transact AA (Account, Lending, Deposit) product within Temenos core banking implementations. Acts as senior technical advisor, coach for junior consultants, and key stakeholder liaison, ensuring solution alignment with client requirements, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
**Expectations:**
- Demonstrate deep expertise in Transact AA modules, up to 10+ years in banking or financial software consultancy.
- Lead project phases independently, solving complex functional issues and guiding less experienced consultants.
- Engage directly with clients, offering strategic, banking‑specific advice while managing expectations and ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
- Travel frequently to client sites, typically Monday‑Friday, with weekend returns as needed.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct business‑analysis workshops covering AA configuration, workflow, and gaps.
- Translate client requirements into Temenos functional specifications; validate gaps and propose realistic solutions (workarounds, process changes, or configurations).
- Design and validate customization needs; author local‑development specifications when required.
- Configure static and semi‑static data for product installation; prepare functional testing plans and support User Acceptance Testing.
- Review client processes, recommend post‑implementation “post‑picture” improvements, and advise on best banking practices.
- Identify, document, and resolve product issues in coordination with Temenos maintenance.
- Provide subject‑matter training, update training materials, and support user onboarding.
- Contribute to the Centre of Excellence through knowledge sharing, product‑process improvement, and industry trend monitoring.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven expertise in Transact AA (Account, Lending, Deposit) and experience in both Retail and Corporate banking environments.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to map business gaps to product functionality.
- Excellent communication in English (written & verbal); additional languages are a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel) and capable of creating clear, concise technical documentation.
- Familiarity with banking processes such as Payments, Credits, Accounting, Treasury, MI, Asset Management, Securities, Private Wealth, Trade Finance.
- Demonstrated stakeholder‑management capability and experience delivering client‑centric solutions.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in banking software consultancy (Transact AA + related products).
- Relevant certifications in banking software or project management (e.g., Temenos certification, PMP, Prince2) are preferred.
