Job Description
Job Title: Data Scientist Role Summary: Data Scientist in Delivery develops and deploys AI‑driven simulation models that enable engineering customers to optimize design, manufacturing and operational decisions. Collaborates closely with simulation and machine learning engineers and customers to translate complex physics challenges into production‑ready data science solutions. Expectations: - Minimum 1 year commercial industry experience after a Master’s or PhD. - Strong foundation in data‑driven modelling, deep learning, and probabilistic methods. - Proficient in Python and core scientific libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch). - Ability to design scalable, reproducible pipelines and deploy models in production environments. - Excellent communication skills for technical presentations and customer collaboration. - Willingness to travel to customer sites (≈2‑3 weeks per quarter). Key Responsibilities: - Pre‑process and analyze large datasets for predictive modelling. - Design, train, and evaluate deep learning models integrated with state‑of‑the‑art optimization techniques to predict/control physical system behavior. - Build and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines for model training and inference. - Collaborate with simulation engineers to integrate models into simulation workflows. - Lead end‑to‑end data science work streams, ensuring quality, accuracy and business impact. - Contribute to internal R&D, refining models and identifying new application areas. - Present findings and solutions to technical teams and customers, facilitating onboarding and co‑development. Required Skills: - Python programming with NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch. - Probabilistic modeling and predictive analytics. - Deep learning model development and explainability. - Optimization algorithms and numerical methods. - Design and deployment of scalable data pipelines. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Clear written and verbal communication. Required Education & Certifications: - Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related discipline. - Demonstrated industry experience in a commercial, non‑research environment.
