**Job Title**
Senior Desktop Workstation Architect (M/F)
**Role Summary**
Design, deploy, and manage large‑scale user workstations across fixed, mobile, and specialized environments. Ensure high performance, security, compliance (RGPD, ISO 27001, HDS), and lifecycle optimization while leading standardization, automation, and incident resolution initiatives.

- Lead end‑to‑end architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management for thousands of devices.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and continuously improve security posture.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to align technology strategies.
- Mentor support staff and champion best practices across the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyse user requirements and design holistic workstation architecture (fixed, mobile, specialized).
- Develop technical standards, configuration models, and deployment strategies.
- Plan, industrialise, and supervise large‑scale rollouts using SCCM, Intune, or WorkSpaceOne.
- Manage configuration, patching, and standardisation across all devices.
- Oversee lifecycle processes: obsolescence, renewal, cost optimisation.
- Implement security measures: patch management, encryption, antivirus, EDR, firewalls, identity protection.
- Ensure compliance with RGPD, ISO 27001, HDS, and internal security policies.
- Create and maintain continuity/recovery plans (PCA/PRA).
- Provide proactive maintenance and diagnose escalated technical incidents.
- Train and support operations teams on device administration and best practices.
- Conduct technology watch, evaluate emerging solutions, and recommend enhancements.
- Communicate solutions and status to stakeholders and users.
- Contribute to IT strategy, project planning, and infrastructure roadmaps.
**Required Skills**
- Proficient with Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS operating systems.
- Strong architecture and design expertise for workstation environments.
- Experience with VDI/VDI solutions (VMware Horizon, Citrix, Hyper‑V, Azure Virtual Desktop).
- Mastery of endpoint management tools (SCCM, Intune, WorkSpaceOne).
- Knowledge of security solutions: EDR, antivirus, encryption, identity & access management.
- SQL skills (SQL Server, Oracle) and query proficiency.
- Understanding of client‑server, cloud, and networking architectures.
- Project‑management methodologies: V‑model, Agile, ITIL.
- Diagnostic and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
- Familiarity with supervision and configuration‑management tools.
- Strong analytical, written, and presentation skills.
- Methodical, organised, ergonomic design mindset.
- Awareness of regulatory frameworks (RGPD, ISO 27001, HDS).
- Ability to handle security‑clearance processes.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science / Information Technology (Bac+5).
- Minimum 5 years of senior experience designing, deploying, and managing enterprise workstations at large scale.
- Relevant certifications preferred: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Citrix Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent.
