Job title: AI/ML Developer
Role Summary:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions in a growing cloud‑native technology firm. Serve as the inaugural member of the AI/ML team, establishing technical standards, data pipelines, and scalable AI products that drive real business outcomes.
Expectations:
- First hire in new AI/ML team; shape strategy and best practices.
- Own end‑to‑end ML lifecycle: research, prototyping, production pipeline, workflows, and agents.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional global teams to identify friction points and deliver AI‑driven improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and clean organisational data, assessing structure, quality and constraints.
- Design robust ML systems aligned with business objectives.
- Build and maintain production-ready pipelines, workflow orchestration, and MLOps pipelines.
- Continuous integration and deployment of models, monitoring performance and drift.
- Partner with data engineering, product, and business teams to translate insights into actionable solutions.
- Champion AI adoption across the organisation, providing guidance and knowledge transfer.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of AI/ML development experience in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit‑learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow, JAX).
- Hands‑on experience building end‑to‑end ML systems; MLOps expertise (model versioning, CI/CD, monitoring, containerisation).
- Strong understanding of data flow in business settings: ETL, data warehousing, streaming.
- Proficient in workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Argo) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or equivalent).
- Ability to translate data insights into functional AI products.
- Experience with performance optimisation and scaling at production level.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in cloud AI services (e.g., AWS ML, Google Cloud AI, Azure AI) are advantageous but not mandatory.
