Job Description
Job title: Accuracy Checking Technician Role Summary: Deliver administrative support for Digital Health Services, primarily completing stages 2 and 3 of the Discharge Medication Service (DMS). Engage with patients by phone, assist with the New Medicine Service (NMS), Pharmacy Contraceptive Service (PCS), and other business needs while upholding legal, ethical, and quality standards. Expectations: Provide accurate, reliable service in a fast‑paced environment; meet deadlines and team goals; demonstrate patient‑focused care; adhere to professional standards and company policies; collaborate across departments while working independently. Key Responsibilities: - Execute DMS stages 2 and 3 for patients, ensuring precise documentation and compliance. - Conduct daily patient phone interactions, delivering supportive and patient‑centered communication. - Provide administrative support for NMS, PCS, and other internal processes. - Maintain accurate records in prescribed systems, including Excel and other pharmacy IT tools. - Uphold all legal, ethical, and company standards related to medication services. - Work effectively in a busy setting, prioritising tasks while maintaining high accuracy. - Collaborate with customer service, purchasing, operations, and pharmacy teams to achieve business objectives. - Contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture and support continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills: - Registered Accuracy Checking Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council. - Strong verbal and written communication; fluency in English. - Numeracy and proficiency with information technology, especially Microsoft Excel. - Experience in community or online pharmacy environments; ability to work accurately under pressure. - Independent and proactive, with excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities. - Patient‑focused customer service orientation. - Knowledge of DMS stages 2 and 3 is desirable. Required Education & Certifications: - General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) accreditation as an Accuracy Checking Technician. - Proof of right to work in the UK. - DBS check required.
