Role Summary
Lead the full end‑to‑end delivery of complex IT projects in a multidisciplinary environment, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and in compliance with governance standards. Manage a matrix‑structured team, drive quality and architectural integrity, and foster stakeholder collaboration.
Expectations
* Must hold valid UK Government SC clearance.
* Demonstrated success in managing large‑scale IT initiatives across cloud, infrastructure, BI, and application development.
* Strong command of project lifecycle, risk, and financial management.
* Ability to influence and champion projects across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects, maintaining accurate project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk/issue registers.
* Build, motivate, and oversee multidisciplinary project teams (permanent and contractual) using matrix management.
* Ensure deliverables meet business requirements, architectural standards, and governance approvals.
* Manage relationships with internal customers, external stakeholders, and vendors, coordinating design, analysis, and problem resolution sessions.
* Oversee vendor/supplier selection, contract management, and service delivery performance.
* Produce financial reports and maintain cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills
* Proficiency in MS Project and project management software.
* Proven delivery record of infrastructure, BI, cloud, and web‑based solutions.
* Formal training in Prince2 or APMP; solid understanding of Waterfall and Agile frameworks.
* Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities.
* Strong budget and financial oversight.
* Basic business analysis skills.
* Capacity to work independently in a 100 % remote setting.
Required Education & Certifications
* Higher education qualification (degree or equivalent) in IT, Systems, or Business.
* Prince2 Practitioner or APMP certified.
* Current UK Government SC Clearance.
