**Job Title**
AI Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and optimize AI solutions centered on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, large language models, and intelligent automation. Build robust Python pipelines, integrate OpenAI and other LLM APIs, automate workflows, and implement advanced document‑understanding tools. Ensure scalable, secure, and high‑performance architectures across varied industries while serving as a technical reference and mentor within an Agile team.
**Expectations**
- 4–8 years of professional experience in data science, AI, or intelligent automation.
- Native‑level French (C2) and fluent English (C1); Dutch a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently, communicate complex ideas clearly, and collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and implement RAG‑based AI systems using embeddings, vector databases, and LLMs.
- Develop end‑to‑end Python pipelines (FastAPI, LangChain, ML frameworks); orchestrate and industrialise workflows.
- Integrate OpenAI, ChatGPT, and other LLM APIs, as well as open‑source models.
- Automate and interconnect processes with n8n, UiPath, or equivalent tools.
- Deploy document‑understanding solutions leveraging ABBYY, OCR, regex, and parsing.
- Model business processes with BPMN or UML and collaborate with product and business stakeholders.
- Optimize performance, security, scalability, and quality of AI architectures.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, demos, retros, refinements).
- Act as a technical point of contact on AI/automation topics and elevate team expertise.
**Required Skills**
- Strong Python proficiency: FastAPI, LangChain, ML libraries, and vector database interactions.
- Deep knowledge of ML, generative AI, RAG, embeddings, vector stores, LLMs.
- Hands‑on experience with OpenAI API, ChatGPT API, and comparable LLM interfaces.
- Expertise in workflow automation tools (n8n, UiPath).
- Skilled in OCR (ABBYY), document parsing, and advanced regex.
- Able to create process models using BPMN and UML.
- Comfortable with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaboration tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Python, ML/AI, Scrum Master) are advantageous but not mandatory.
