**Job Title:** International Tax Director
**Role Summary:** Lead the global tax strategy, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and risk mitigation across multiple jurisdictions while driving tax optimization to support business growth.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver a cohesive worldwide tax framework aligned with corporate objectives.
- Maintain compliance with all local and international tax laws, achieving audit-ready status.
- Foster proactive tax planning to reduce effective tax rate within ethical boundaries.
- Build strong relationships with upper management, tax authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define and execute the group’s global tax strategy, advising CFO, exec leadership, and Board on tax implications of M&A, financing, and cross‑border structures.
- Design and implement transfer‑pricing policies, documentation, and inter‑company agreements; monitor compliance with OECD guidelines.
- Oversee VAT/GST compliance and planning across Europe, India, and other major markets; manage withholding tax application on royalties, services, dividends, and interest.
- Develop and monitor IP structuring and licensing models aligned with business operations.
- Lead a small tax team, coordinating with finance, legal, and business units; manage corporate tax filings and reporting under IFRS and local GAAP.
- Maintain relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, and auditors worldwide; lead responses to audits, disputes, and negotiations.
- Monitor global tax developments (OECD, EU, US, India, Africa, etc.) and assess impacts; implement internal controls and risk‑management processes.
- Act as a trusted advisor for business leaders on structuring commercial arrangements and new initiatives, providing proactive tax input to pricing, R&D, and go‑to‑market strategies.
**Required Skills**
- Expertise in corporate taxation, transfer pricing, VAT/GST, withholding taxes, corporate income tax, and IP structuring.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Proven leadership and team‑management skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Fluent in English; French proficiency highly desirable.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Advanced degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or Tax Law.
- Professional qualification preferred (e.g., CTA, DEC, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 12–15 years of international tax experience, preferably in a global technology or Big 4 advisory setting with in‑house leadership experience.
