Job Description
Job title: Embedded Software Engineer (contract) Role Summary: Deliver embedded firmware for medical device projects on a 3‑month contract, focusing on bare‑metal and RTOS (ThreadX) development, signal processing, and wireless communication. Expactations: • 3‑month contract commitment • On‑site availability (location omitted) • Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and clients • Ability to meet tight delivery schedules. Key Responsibilities: • Design, code, and debug C firmware for embedded systems. • Develop RTOS‑based solutions using ThreadX. • Implement signal‑processing algorithms. • Integrate wireless protocols (preferably NFC). • Conduct electronics bring‑up and test. • Participate in design reviews and documentation. • Ensure compliance with medical device software standards (IEC 62304). • Provide technical support to project teams. Required Skills: • Proficient in embedded C programming. • Experience with RTOS (ThreadX preferred). • Knowledge of signal processing techniques. • Familiarity with wireless communication (NFC). • Electronics bring‑up and testing experience. • Understanding of medical device software lifecycle and IEC 62304. • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and within a consultancy environment. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. • Relevant certifications in embedded systems or medical device software (e.g., IEC 62304) preferred.
