Job title: Technical Lead – Boiler Equipment (F/M)
Role Summary: Lead mechanical pre‑design, procurement, and supplier coordination for boiler equipment and associated vessels in industrial projects; deliver compliant design solutions, tender support, and construction oversight.
Expectations: Execute accurate mechanical sizing, prepare and evaluate tender documents, coordinate with cross‑functional teams, manage supplier compliance, support onsite construction and commissioning, and maintain adherence to international codes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical pre‑design of pressure vessels, reactors, columns, storage tanks, separators, heat exchangers, and related equipment.
- Coordinate with project, procurement, process, safety, installation, civil/structural, instrumentation, electrical, and construction disciplines.
- Prepare tender documents: data sheets, technical specifications, design guides, and special specifications.
- Analyze supplier technical offers, reconcile discrepancies, and produce technical comparison matrices for client decision‑making.
- Draft purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure compliance with specifications and contractual dates.
- Monitor supplier technical deliverables, conduct document audits, and facilitate communication of feedback.
- Inspect supplier equipment prior to delivery; verify conformity and documentation.
- Provide onsite support during construction and plant startup activities.
- Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant codes (ASME, TEMA, EN, CODAP, AD‑2000, CODRES, API 650) and ATEX regulations.
Required Skills:
- Mechanical engineering expertise with pressure vessel design and structural analysis.
- Proficiency in AutoPIPE Vessel, AUXECAP, ANSYS, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
- Ability to perform analytical calculations and finite element analysis for preliminary sizing.
- Knowledge of applicable industry standards and ATEX zone requirements.
- Strong technical documentation, tender preparation, and vendor evaluation capabilities.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and project management skills.
- Aptitude for resolving technical clarifications and influencing supplier decisions.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bac+5 (Bachelor’s +5 years) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the petroleum, chemical, food, or petrochemical sectors.
- Familiarity with ATEX regulations and pressure vessel standards (ASME, TEMA, API 650, etc.) is preferred.
