Job Description
Job Title: Data Analyst Role Summary: Support treasury and margin workflows within prime brokerage environments by performing data analysis, automating reporting processes, and ensuring accurate operational calculations. Collaborate with hedge fund clients to define data requirements and maintain documentation of controls and system processes. Expectations: - Deliver reliable margin and treasury calculations with high precision. - Develop and maintain automated reporting pipelines. - Communicate complex technical details to non‑technical stakeholders. - Continuously improve processes and explore new analytical tools. Key Responsibilities: - Apply arithmetic and spreadsheet skills to support treasury and margin calculations. - Build and automate reporting processes using Python. - Monitor daily cash, collateral, and margin activities. - Liaise directly with hedge fund clients to clarify data and workflow requirements. - Document workflows, controls, and system processes. Required Skills: - Intermediate Python (data manipulation, automation scripts). - Advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas, financial modeling). - Familiarity with SQL and database querying. - Understanding of prime brokerage models, margining, and collateral management. - Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and proactive problem‑solving. - Effective communication of technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. Required Education & Certifications: - Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. - No mandatory certifications required; professional data or financial certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are advantageous.
