**Job Title**
Automation & Tele‑management Technician
**Role Summary**
Responsible for the maintenance, evolution, and security of industrial automation systems supporting potable‑water production and treatment facilities in the Île‑de‑France region. Works within the Operations Department’s Automation & Tele‑management service to ensure reliable PLC, SCADA, and remote‑management operations, contribute to engineering design, and uphold cyber‑security and compliance standards.
**Expactations**
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PLCs, SCADA, and tele‑management equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve automation faults promptly, adhering to safety and security procedures.
- Participate in on‑call rotation and be available for urgent interventions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, subcontractors, and end‑users to deliver functional solutions.
- Provide technical training and documentation to internal teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain and operate industrial programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and SCADA supervision systems.
- Manage archival servers, backups, and technical documentation.
- Modify programs, configurations, and SCADA synoptics; update databases.
- Analyze and optimize control loops, sequences, and regulation strategies.
- Interpret electrical schematics and perform occasional electromechanical interventions.
- Support engineering by reviewing functional analyses, commissioning tests, and equipment selection.
- Validate hardware/software configurations, contribute to specifications, and conduct functional acceptance testing.
- Apply ISO 27001/LPM cyber‑security rules; report security incidents to the CISO.
- Deliver technical training on PLCs, SCADA, and industrial networks.
- Produce incident analyses, lessons‑learned reports, and maintain certification‑related documentation.
- Contribute to energy‑performance improvement initiatives.
**Required Skills**
- PLC programming and configuration (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell).
- SCADA system design and operation (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC).
- Industrial networking (fieldbus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
- Strong diagnostic and analytical abilities; proficiency in reading electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of cyber‑security standards (ISO 27001, LPM).
- Excellent documentation, reporting, and teamwork skills.
- Availability for on‑call duty cycles.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bac+2/Bac+3 (or equivalent) in Automation, Electrotechnics, or Industrial IT.
- Up to 5 years of relevant experience (recent graduate accepted).
- Certifications in PLC/SCADA programming or industrial cybersecurity are a plus.
