**Job Title:** DevOps OpenShift Architect
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and oversee enterprise‑grade OpenShift platforms and migration initiatives. Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance of cloud‑native workloads across hybrid and multi‑cluster environments while driving automation and DevOps best practices.
**Expectations:**
- 8‑10 years of progressive experience in container orchestration, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps.
- Proven ability to architect and migrate complex workloads to OpenShift.
- Lead technical decisions, mentor teams, and communicate solutions to stakeholders.
- Deliver solutions that meet reliability, security, and performance requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and implement end‑to‑end OpenShift architectures, including multi‑cluster and hybrid cloud deployments.
- Develop migration strategies and execute workload transitions from legacy systems to OpenShift.
- Integrate VMware (vSphere, vCenter, NSX) and Pure Storage (FlashArray/FlashBlade) into container environments.
- Configure networking (ingress, load balancing, DNS) and storage (persistent volumes, dynamic provisioning) for OpenShift clusters.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, ArgoCD, and related tools.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Python.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions (e.g., Grafana, Splunk, OpenTelemetry).
- Apply security hardening, role‑based access control, and compliance controls.
- Produce documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer sessions.
**Required Skills:**
- OpenShift architecture and administration (mandatory).
- Kubernetes and container orchestration expertise.
- VMware ecosystem (vSphere, vCenter, NSX).
- Pure Storage technologies.
- Networking fundamentals: ingress, load balancing, DNS.
- Storage management: persistent volumes, dynamic provisioning.
- CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, GitHub, ArgoCD.
- Automation/scripting: Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform.
- High availability, scalability, and security design for cloud‑native apps.
- Application migration to OpenShift or comparable platforms.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or other relevant OpenShift certifications.
- Additional certifications in Kubernetes, VMware, or cloud platforms are advantageous.
