Digital Workplace Engineer (Google Workspace)
**Role Summary**
Design, deploy, and secure cloud‑based collaborative environments for enterprise clients, primarily using Google Workspace. Lead migration projects, implement advanced security architectures (Zero Trust, IAM, DLP, MFA), and automate routine operations with scripting tools. Act as a technical consultant, translating client needs into scalable solutions while ensuring high quality service.
**Expactations**
- Deliver end‑to‑end migration and implementation projects on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain expert knowledge of Google Workspace ecosystem and related cloud services.
- Provide consultative guidance on platform evolution and security best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement of internal tools, documentation, and solution delivery.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and implement Google Workspace solutions tailored to client requirements.
- Conduct technical and functional audits to recommend platform upgrades and optimizations.
- Plan and execute data migration, identity integration, and device management for hybrid SaaS scenarios.
- Design and enforce Zero Trust security models, including IAM, DLP, and MFA controls.
- Automate platform administration and workflow processes using PowerShell, GAM, and Python scripts.
- Monitor and analyze platform performance, generating metrics and proactive enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to document solutions and update internal knowledge bases.
**Required Skills**
- Proficiency in Google Workspace administration, security, IAM, and device management.
- Strong scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, GAM, Python).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune is a plus.
- Experience with cloud migration, hybrid architecture design, and Zero Trust implementation.
- Excellent communication, client‑facing consulting, and technical education abilities.
- Rigorous, analytical mindset with a passion for cloud innovation.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
- Prior experience (≥2 years) managing Digital Workplace platforms (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365).
- Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 certifications preferred; other relevant cloud certifications (Azure, Google Cloud) are advantageous.
