Job Title: Founders Associate – AI
Role Summary:
Partner with the CEO and founding team to execute an enterprise‑wide AI transformation. Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of AI agents, from discovery and prototyping to deployment and impact measurement, driving AI adoption across all functions.
Expectations:
- Deliver measurable productivity gains for a 50+ person fintech operating in remittance and cross‑border services.
- Demonstrate rapid iteration and shipping; prioritize high‑impact, low‑risk solutions.
- Communicate strategy and results to senior leadership and stakeholders, including board‑level reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit all teams to identify AI‑eligible workflows for toil reduction, decision acceleration, or quality improvement.
- Design, prototype, build, deploy, and iterate AI agents (Slack bots, document processors, research copilots, QA pipelines).
- Own full stack: scoping, coding, infrastructure, testing, monitoring, and impact analytics.
- Lead an internal AI adoption program (training, prompt libraries, office hours) to embed AI into daily operations.
- Set quarterly AI transformation targets with the CEO and track progress.
- Evaluate and integrate third‑party AI tooling, negotiate vendor relationships, and manage vendor contracts.
- Build shared knowledge bases, retrieval‑augmented generation systems over internal documents, and cross‑functional agent workflows.
- Stay current on emerging models, capabilities, and patterns; translate research into production solutions within days.
Required Skills:
- Hands‑on experience building multi‑step AI pipelines, RAG systems, and autonomous workflows using LLM APIs.
- Strong engineering fundamentals: Python, vector databases, orchestration frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, etc.), and infrastructure setup.
- Proven ability to ship production code and debug in urgent scenarios.
- Excellent communication; capable of persuading skeptical teams, training non‑technical users, and presenting to executives.
- Startup/scale‑up background, preferably in fintech or financial services.
- Deep knowledge and enthusiasm for AI; active community engagement, side projects, and well‑formed model preferences.
- Comfort with ambiguity, self‑starter mindset, and capacity to create processes from scratch.
Nice to Have:
- Experience leading small teams, data science or ML engineering background, familiarity with compliance/regulatory constraints in finance, and exposure to remittance/pay‑me ecosystems.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- No mandatory certifications, though AI/ML certifications (e.g., DeepLearning.AI, AWS AI/ML, or similar) are advantageous.
