Senior Network & Security Infrastructure Expert
**Role Summary**
Lead architect and implementation specialist in a Build‑plus‑Run team focused on datacenter and private cloud environments. Design, deploy, and maintain high‑availability network and security infrastructures, ensuring resilience, scalability, and compliance across multi‑vendor ecosystems.
**Expectations**
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in enterprise networking and security.
- Proven ability to architect and deliver complex solutions, translate business needs into technical designs, and guide multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to optimization and risk mitigation.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design, configure, and validate network architectures using Cisco VXLAN, EVPN, and L2VNI.
2. Implement and manage security solutions (Checkpoint, Fortinet, F5) and cloud‑native controls (Zscaler, OKTA, proxy services).
3. Deploy and tune SIEM platforms (Splunk) for threat visibility and compliance reporting.
4. Automate infrastructure provisioning with Ansible (network modules), Terraform, and shell scripting; support continuous integration/continuous deployment practices.
5. Deliver end‑to‑end project execution from requirement gathering through testing, cut‑over, and post‑implementation review.
6. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge transfer within the team.
7. Report on project status, performance metrics, and risk to senior management; recommend improvements and cost‑optimization opportunities.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced networking: Cisco (VXLAN, EVPN, L2VNI), VPN/Tunnel, IP routing, VLANs, QoS.
- Security platforms: Checkpoint, Fortinet FortiGate, F5 BIG‑IP, Zscaler, Zscaler Cloud Service Provider, OKTA IDM.
- SIEM: Splunk (collection, correlation, dashboards).
- Operating systems: RedHat Linux 8, Windows Server 2019.
- Automation & scripting: Shell, Ansible Network modules, Terraform, network automation best practices.
- Project execution: design, documentation, change management, risk assessment, stakeholder communication.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Professional certifications preferred: Cisco CCNP/CCIE (Routing & Switching, Data Center, Security), Fortinet NSE (4/5), Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator (CCSA), F5 Certified BIG‑IP Administrator (F5CBA).
- Cloud security or identity‑management certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty, Okta/ADFS) are a plus.
