**Job title**
Expert DevOps – GitLab CI
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Ansible, Terraform, and HashiCorp Vault. Drive GitOps and Infra-as-Code practices, provide 3rd‑level support, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an agile environment.
**Expectations**
* Deliver robust CI/CD automation across multiple environments.
* Apply best practices in GitOps, IaC, and secure configuration management.
* Serve as the primary point of escalation for CI/CD incidents.
* Mentor teammates and facilitate technical workshops.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Create and maintain GitLab CI jobs, pipelines, and runners.
2. Develop and modify Ansible playbooks and Terraform modules.
3. Implement and manage integrations with REST APIs, VMware vSphere, Nutanix, Baremetal, Kubernetes, NSX, BigIP‑F5, load balancers, and object storage (S3, MinIO).
4. Configure and support HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD pipeline failures (N3 support).
6. Write and maintain documentation, runbooks, and status reports.
7. Conduct agile sprints, retrospectives, and technical workshops.
**Required Skills**
* Git, GitLab CI, and Runner configuration.
* GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
* Ansible, Terraform, Python scripting.
* HashiCorp Vault usage.
* REST API integration.
* VMware vSphere, Nutanix, Baremetal, Kubernetes, NSX, F5 BIGIP.
* Load balancing and object storage (S3, MinIO).
* Agile project delivery.
* Team collaboration and workshop facilitation.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
* Relevant certifications preferred:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Administrator (CKAD)
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Ansible Automation Engineer
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
