Job Description
**Job Title:** Technical Systems Manager **Role Summary:** Lead and oversee the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure full compliance with food safety legislation, industry standards, and customer specifications. Act as the primary liaison between technical operations and quality assurance, driving continuous improvement and regulatory adherence. **Expectations:** - Maintain 100% compliance with all applicable food safety and quality regulations. - Achieve measurable improvements in QMS effectiveness and audit scores. - Ensure timely resolution of non‑conformances and corrective actions. - Foster a culture of quality and risk awareness across technical teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop, implement, and maintain the site QMS, including documentation, procedures, and records. - Conduct internal audits, manage external audits, and lead corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes. - Monitor and interpret food safety legislation, industry standards, and customer requirements; translate them into actionable site policies. - Provide technical guidance and training to staff on quality and food safety practices. - Coordinate with the Technical Manager and cross‑functional teams to integrate quality objectives into operational processes. - Analyze quality data, generate performance reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. - Oversee supplier qualification, monitoring, and compliance related to quality standards. - Manage risk assessments, HACCP plans, and product release procedures. **Required Skills:** - Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FSMA, ISO 22000, BRC, IFS). - Proven experience with QMS implementation and audit management. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause analysis abilities. - Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. - Proficiency in quality software tools and MS Office suite. - Leadership capability to influence and guide multidisciplinary teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field. - Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Certified Quality Auditor, HACCP Certified, ISO 22000 Lead Auditor).
