**Job Title:** Director, Security Operations & Remote Events – West Coast
**Role Summary:**
Strategic leader responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of security policies and procedures across ESPN’s West Coast portfolio (Los Angeles Production Center, NFL Network Studios) and ESPN remote‑event productions. Provides oversight of security vendor strategy, budget management, technology integration, and intelligence liaison functions to protect personnel, assets, and productions while supporting business continuity.
**Expectations:**
- Align security strategy with corporate priorities and evolving risk landscape.
- Lead and develop a multi‑disciplinary security team to ensure consistent execution across all studio and event sites.
- Maintain fiscal accountability for the security budget, vendor contracts, and staffing models.
- Serve as primary intelligence officer, coordinating with Disney Global Security Threat Analysis Unit.
- Deliver safe, compliant environments for employees, guests, and remote‑event operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Direct daily security operations for West Coast properties, including people, facilities, data centers, and live event productions.
- Approve and oversee security and emergency‑response plans for all ESPN events; conduct risk analyses and ensure required equipment is operational.
- Shape and manage security vendor strategy, including performance monitoring, training compliance, and scalability.
- Partner with Global Security Technology to integrate CCTV, Lenel access control, Visitor Management System, and other Disney security platforms.
- Collaborate with Sr. Director of Security Operations & Finance on annual budget planning, cost control, overtime oversight, and 24/7 staffing models.
- Act as ESPN Security’s Intelligence Officer, maintaining liaison with internal and external threat analysis units.
- Ensure alignment with local, state, and Disney regulatory requirements; coordinate with police, fire, medical, and emergency services.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance development for security personnel.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years security experience; 5+ years in senior leadership of large, multi‑national operations.
- Proven expertise in remote‑event and temporary‑facility security risk management.
- Strong vendor management, contract negotiation, and performance‑assessment capabilities.
- Budget planning and fiscal stewardship experience.
- Proficiency with security technology (CCTV, access control, visitor management systems).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills across diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of emergency services protocols and incident response coordination.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional security certifications preferred (e.g., CPP, PSP, CISSP, or equivalent).
- Relevant law‑enforcement or emergency‑services training advantageous.
