Job Description

**Job Title:** DevOps System Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of Kubernetes-based infrastructure, Linux operating systems, and CI/CD pipelines across on‑premises and cloud environments. Serve as subject‑matter expert for OpenShift clusters and GitLab CI, driving automation and operational excellence for hybrid infrastructure. **Expactations:** - Deliver scalable, secure, and high‑availability container orchestration solutions. - Mentor development teams on architecture guidelines and deployment best practices. - Own technical decision‑making for platform selection and tooling across multiple environments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, build, and manage OpenShift clusters in cloud and on‑prem environments. - Engineer Linux OS solutions for standard servers and cluster nodes. - Architect and implement automation and CI/CD pipelines for VMs, containers, and configuration changes (GitLab CI, Terraform, Ansible/AWX Tower). - Develop and maintain system, process, and user documentation. - Collaborate with design, build, and operations teams to deploy hybrid‑infrastructure automation. - Guide software development teams on Kubernetes architecture, microservice design, and repository management. **Required Skills:** - 5+ years of systems design and automation experience. - Deep proficiency in Kubernetes/OpenShift design, cluster management, and service orchestration. - Advanced Linux systems design and administration. - Scripting and configuration management with Python, SQL, Ansible, Terraform. - Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI, Terraform, Ansible/AWX Tower). - Strong understanding of cloud and hybrid infrastructure concepts. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent professional experience. - Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) or relevant cloud platforms preferred.
