Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Android Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead the design, development, and optimization of Android-based in‑vehicle infotainment applications. Build modular, scalable codebases, establish reusable libraries, and ensure high‑performance, reliable software that meets automotive industry standards. **Expectations:** Deliver production‑ready features on schedule, maintain code quality through reviews and continuous integration, and continuously improve application performance and maintainability. **Key Responsibilities:** - Architect and develop modular, scalable Android infotainment applications. - Create and maintain reusable design patterns and libraries. - Collaborate with product, UI/UX, and architecture teams to refine features. - Identify, diagnose, and resolve performance bottlenecks. - Conduct rigorous code reviews and enforce CI/CD best practices. - Write comprehensive unit, integration, and performance tests. - Design, implement, and release new features and updates. - Investigate Android Open Source Project (AOSP) internals to enhance integration. - Build demo and sample apps to showcase technology. - Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI. **Required Skills:** - 5+ years of Android development experience; Java proficiency preferred. - Proficient with Android Studio, SDK, Gradle, and modern architectures (MVVM, MVI, Clean). - Experience building XML‑based UIs; knowledge of NDK/JNI is a plus. - Deep understanding of Android design principles, performance tuning, and testing. - Comfortable in Linux environments, using debugging and system‑level tools. - Strong Git workflow knowledge and collaborative development practices. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. - Familiarity with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) highly valued. - Python for automation/log analysis is a plus. - Excellent communication and independent work within Agile teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - No mandatory certifications, however Android or automotive development certifications are desirable.
