Job Description
Job Title: Senior Wintel Engineer / Windows Infrastructure Engineer Role Summary: Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise Windows infrastructure, including operating systems, authentication, virtualization, messaging, and networking, to support global trading and research workloads. Expectations: Deliver reliable, secure, and highly available infrastructure that meets performance targets; proactively identify and resolve complex issues; automate routine tasks; communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams; maintain documentation and best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Architect, build, and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper‑V, etc.). - Develop and deploy PowerShell scripts and automation tools for configuration, monitoring, and remediation. - Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for high‑frequency trading and research workloads. - Troubleshoot and resolve critical infrastructure incidents, performing root‑cause analysis and implementing preventive measures. - Collaborate with security, network, and application teams to design secure, compliant infrastructure solutions. - Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures; maintain knowledge base. Required Skills: - Deep expertise in Microsoft Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, Hyper‑V, and related technologies. - Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation. - Performance tuning, capacity planning, and reliability engineering. - Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and analytical abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement. - Familiarity with network protocols, virtualization, and authentication mechanisms. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience. - Microsoft certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate).
