Job Title: Software Engineer
Role Summary: Founding‑level software engineer for an AI‑driven food commerce platform. Designs, builds, and owns core product features across full stack, influences architecture, and integrates AI services on AWS.
Expactations: = Full‑stack development in Node.js and Python for backend; Next.js, React, & TypeScript for frontend. Deliver end‑to‑end features, maintain production reliability, and contribute to technical strategy. Operate independently in a fast‑paced, ambiguous start‑up environment.
Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop order, payment, and discovery features from concept to production.
• Implement backend services in Node.js and Python, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Build responsive UIs with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Provision and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate LLM and agent‑based AI components into the product.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance platform reliability.
• Collaborate with Head of Engineering and leadership on product road‑map and technical standards.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing within the small engineering team.
Required Skills: • Strong proficiency in Node.js, Python, React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.) and IaC (Terraform).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Exposure to AI/ML or LLM integration in production environments.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity, iterate quickly, and take end‑to‑end ownership of features.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving skills, and a user‑centric product mindset.
Nice to have: • Practical experience integrating LLMs or agent frameworks.
• Knowledge of payment‑gateway integration and ecommerce flows.
• Previous early‑stage startup engineering role.
• Empathy for non‑technical stakeholders and clear product delivery.
Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate) preferred but not mandatory.
