Job title: Dynatrace Consultant (SC Cleared)
Role Summary: Provide end‑to‑end observability design and implementation for a large enterprise, using Dynatrace as the core monitoring platform. Own the observability strategy, architecture, and roadmap across applications, microservices, infrastructures, and hybrid cloud environments, while integrating monitoring into DevOps pipelines and enabling AI‑driven incident response.
Expectations: 3‑month rolling contract, remote with occasional site visits, requires Security Clearance (SC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and own the observability architecture and roadmap using Dynatrace.
- Implement monitoring frameworks for microservices, APIs, databases, containers, and hybrid cloud workloads (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Build service flow mapping, distributed tracing, Real‑User Monitoring (RUM), synthetic monitoring, and automated alerting.
- Act as the Dynatrace SME, advising teams on best practices and tool configuration.
- Integrate Dynatrace into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Enable AI‑driven root‑cause analysis, anomaly detection, and self‑healing automation.
- Partner with enterprise architects, SREs, and application teams to embed observability standards.
- Ensure compliance with security, operational, and regulatory policies.
- Communicate design decisions, risks, and roadmap to stakeholders.
- Stay updated on Dynatrace releases, OpenTelemetry, and industry trends.
- Mentor and influence observability maturity across the organization.
Required Skills:
- Deep expertise in Dynatrace platform (metrics, logs, traces, AI).
- Strong knowledge of microservices, containers (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience designing monitoring for hybrid cloud environments and large‑scale distributed systems.
- Familiarity with ITIL, Site Reliability Engineering, and AIOps practices.
- Ability to integrate observability into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Dynatrace Certified Professional (or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Cloud platform certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) are preferred.
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
