Power BI Expert

Job Description

Job Title: Power BI Expert Role Summary: Lead the management, optimization, and development of the Power BI environment to deliver secure, high‑performance dashboards and reports that enable data‑driven decision making across business units. Expactations: Deliver a compliant, scalable Power BI platform; maintain data quality and governance; support user adoption through training and documentation; continuously improve performance and usability. Key Responsibilities: - Configure, secure, and maintain Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service environments. - Design, develop, and execute ETL processes, data models, and DAX queries. - Build and publish interactive dashboards and reports tailored to stakeholder needs. - Monitor performance metrics; optimize report load times, data refresh schedules, and capacity usage. - Manage user access, roles, and permissions in accordance with security policies. - Enforce governance standards, data lineage, and best practices for data modeling. - Train and support end users, troubleshooting reporting issues and capturing requirement changes. Required Skills: - Extensive hands‑on experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, and DAX. - Strong SQL and data modeling expertise; experience with diverse data sources. - Knowledge of Power BI administration, capacity management, and security. - Analytical, detail‑oriented approach to problem solving. - Excellent communication, stakeholder collaboration, and documentation skills. - Proficiency in English; Dutch language knowledge is a plus. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor's (or Master’s) degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, or a related field. - Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent Power BI certification is preferred.
