Job Title: Power BI Expert
Job Description: Job Title: Power BI Expert Role Summary: Lead the design, development, and optimization of Power BI solutions that convert large, complex datasets into actionable insights. Drive data–driven decision making across the organization through advanced reporting, modeling, and visualisation. Expectations: * Deliver high‑quality Power BI dashboards and reports on continuous project schedules. * Mentor junior analysts and elevate team Power BI proficiency. * Maintain data integrity, performance, and security across all visuals. Key Responsibilities: * Create and manage advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models using DAX, Power Query (M), and star/dimensional schemas. * Optimize report performance for large data volumes and implement row‑level security. * Develop custom visuals and extensions to enhance reporting capabilities. * Perform data quality checks, validations, and trend analysis on diverse datasets. * Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless data ingestion and preparation. * Share knowledge and best practices across the Business Intelligence team. Required Skills: * Expert level Power BI Desktop and Service; advanced DAX, Power Query, and data modelling. * Strong SQL; experience with relational and big‑data platforms. * Proven optimisation techniques for Power BI reports and dashboards. * Knowledge of Power BI security best practices (row‑level security, data‑source credentials). * Analytical thinking, strong problem‑solving, and attention to detail. * Excellent communication and presentation skills. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. * Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst focused on Power BI. * Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI) or equivalent certification preferred. Additional desirable qualifications (not required): * Experience with Tableau, Qlik Sense, Python, R, Azure or AWS.
