Job Description
**Job Title:** Global Account Director **Role Summary:** Senior sales leader responsible for acquiring, expanding, and managing revenue from large global accounts for the Sovos Tax Compliance Platform. Drives the entire sales cycle—from prospecting to closing—and builds executive-level relationships to secure repeat and upsell opportunities while meeting or exceeding revenue targets. **Expectations:** - Deliver profitable new business revenue and achieve or surpass assigned quotas. - Maintain a balanced, forecast‑accurate pipeline across multiple countries. - Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally. - Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to leadership. - Maintain knowledge of tax‑compliance industry trends and competitive landscape. **Key Responsibilities:** - Generate new business opportunities and manage full sales cycles for strategic accounts globally. - Develop and execute account‑based commercial strategies to grow revenue and retain key customers. - Build and nurture C‑suite and executive relationships with existing and prospective clients. - Lead complex, technical sales engagements in large multinational enterprises. - Collaborate with internal enablement teams to close deals and support implementations. - Prepare and present data‑driven sales stories to justify value and secure decision‑makers. - Deliver accurate forecasts, quarterly reports, and key metrics to senior management. **Required Skills:** - Proven success selling SaaS or software solutions to large multinational organizations through complex sales cycles. - Strong prospecting, targeting, and closing abilities with a track record of meeting/exceeding revenue quotas. - Skilled public speaker, able to present to C‑suite stakeholders using analytical storytelling and data. - Excellent written and verbal communication, detail orientation. - Robust analytical, quantitative, and project‑management skills with the capability to drive initiatives to completion. - Adaptability to fast‑changing environments, self‑motivated, and able to work with minimal oversight. - Willingness to travel moderately (≤50%) within and outside the country. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. - Background check clearance; additional certifications (e.g., PMP, Salesforce, SAS) are a plus but not mandatory.
