**Job Title**
Business Analyst – Cards & Payments
**Role Summary**
Accountable for the analysis, documentation, and enhancement of end‑to‑end debit card processes within a core banking environment. Works with business, technical, and vendor stakeholders to design new card products, optimize workflows, and ensure regulatory compliance.
**Expectations**
- Deliver complete business requirements and functional specifications for card‑related initiatives.
- Drive process improvement, automation, and performance monitoring for card transactions.
- Maintain compliance with Reg E, Durbin Amendment, PCI DSS, and related frameworks.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze and document workflows across core banking and debit card systems.
- Identify inefficiencies; recommend automation and process improvements.
- Lead requirements gathering, produce BRDs, use cases, and functional specs.
- Coordinate with IT, vendors, and business to define integration solutions.
- Support design of new card products, digital enhancements, and wallet integrations.
- Conduct UAT, post‑implementation validation, and KPI monitoring for card transactions, disputes, and fraud.
**Required Skills**
- Deep understanding of core banking platforms (e.g., Systematics, Jack Henry, FIS, Fiserv).
- Expertise in debit card lifecycle: authorization, settlement, chargebacks, and fraud monitoring.
- Knowledge of ISO 8583, ACH/EFT, and card network protocols.
- Experience working with card processors (e.g., Visa DPS, TSYS, FIS).
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent) preferred.
