Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineer Role Summary: Develop and maintain features for an Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform using PHP, integrating with AWS and Azure services to support a global digital commerce initiative. Expectations: Deliver clean, scalable code; collaborate on architecture choices; keep up-to-date with Magento best practices; ensure high performance and reliability of the commerce system. Key Responsibilities: - Write, test, and deploy PHP code for Magento 2 modules and custom extensions. - Integrate platform features with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) and Azure services (App Services, Blob Storage). - Troubleshoot and optimize existing code, addressing performance, security, and scalability. - Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, QA, DevOps) to define requirements and solutions. - Maintain accurate technical documentation and knowledge base articles. Required Skills: - Strong PHP programming and proficiency in Magento 2 core architecture. - Experience with Adobe Commerce APIs (REST, SOAP) and module development. - Hands‑on knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud services and integration patterns. - SQL/MySQL database design, query optimization, and data migration. - Version control with Git, and familiarity with agile development practices. - Ability to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and security issues. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline (preferred). - Magento Certified Developer (MCE) or equivalent Magento development certification highly desired. - AWS Certified Developer – Associate (preferred); Azure Developer Associate (optional).
