Job Description

**Job Title** Automation Engineer (M/F) – MATAL **Role Summary** Design, develop, and implement automation and electrical solutions for industrial refrigeration projects. Work under the Automation Department manager, collaborate with project engineers, and ensure timely delivery, technical quality, and client satisfaction. **Expectations** - Deliver complete or partial automation studies for assigned projects. - Produce network architectures and configure PLC hardware. - Participate in functional analysis and commercial offer preparation. - Support commissioning on‑site and maintain documentation throughout the project lifecycle. **Key Responsibilities** - Design network architectures and select required automation hardware. - Program industrial PLCs (Siemens, Schneider, etc.) and develop HMI screens. - Create supervisory systems and generate technical documentation (notices, reports). - Analyze contract documents (quotes, specifications) and prepare tender dossiers. - Validate supplier offers and ensure compliance with technical requirements. - Assist in on‑site start‑up, verify correct operation per engineering instructions, and update as‑built documents. - Contribute to standardization of programs and engineering methods. - Estimate and price commercial offers. - Follow health, safety, and environmental (SSE) regulations. **Required Skills** - Proven experience in industrial PLC programming and automation. - Strong knowledge of industrial regulation and control principles. - Ability to read and interpret industrial electrical schematics. - Team player with autonomy and problem‑solving skills. - Willingness to travel to customer sites for occasional commissioning support. - Proficiency with automation software: EcoStruxure (Unity – Schneider), TIA Portal (Siemens), PL7 Pro, Vijeo Designer, EasyBuilder PRO (KEP), Unified (Siemens), PcVue, Panorama, Alert. - Good command of standard IT tools. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related technical field. - Relevant certifications in PLC programming or industrial automation (preferred but not mandatory).
