Expert in AI/NLP/ML
**Role Summary**
Lead end‑to‑end development of NLP, ML, and AI solutions, including custom model training, data engineering, and quality assurance of machine translation systems. Collaborate with data stewards, IT stakeholders, and analytics teams to design robust architectures and deliver production‑ready AI and BI components on cloud platforms.
**Expectations**
Deliver high‑quality, scalable NLP/ML pipelines; improve MT performance for multiple language pairs; maintain data integrity and quality controls; provide expert guidance on AI technologies; resolve production issues when required.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and maintain NLP/ML software applications and deep‑learning models using structured/unstructured data.
- Select features, build and optimize classifiers (k‑NN, SVM, decision forests, neural networks).
- Enhance machine translation engines; conduct systematic quality evaluations using BLEU and human tests.
- Define and enforce data controls, quality rules, and integrity checks in partnership with data stewards.
- Create automated anomaly detection and continuous performance monitoring systems.
- Mine and clean large datasets; perform data architecture analysis for consistency and completeness.
- Architect NLP/ML solutions within master‑ and meta‑data management frameworks; coordinate implementation.
- Develop and maintain BI and reporting tools aligned with reference architecture.
- Support Advanced Analytics developers; provide technical studies, assessments, and AI system expertise.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues as needed.
**Required Skills**
- Proficiency in Perl, Python, Matlab, R and libraries: SpaCy, NLTK, scikit‑learn, pandas.
- Deep knowledge of ML algorithms (k‑NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, decision forests, neural networks) and AI frameworks.
- Expertise in data management, AWS/Azure cloud services, Linux/Unix, Bash scripting.
- Familiarity with NLP lifecycle, agile development, and MT quality assurance (BLEU, human evaluation).
- SQL, Hive, Pig; NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase); data visualization (D3.js, ggplot).
- Experience in corpus linguistics, alignment models, classification, big‑data analytics, data lakes.
- Strong applied statistics, regression, hypothesis testing.
- Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL, and documentation skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent AI specialization.
- Specialization or equivalent experience in statistical/neural machine translation or artificial intelligence.
