Job Description
**Job Title:** Account Manager – Pharma (12‑month contract) **Role Summary:** Drive sales of chemical ingredients to pharmaceutical manufacturers in Ontario. Use a consultative approach to grow existing accounts, acquire new customers, and maximize margin while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Work remotely with internal teams to ensure inventory, pricing, and service excellence. **Expectations:** - Achieve sales targets and grow territory revenue. - Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline in Salesforce. - Prospect and convert new business opportunities. - Retain and expand relationships with existing customers. - Deliver accurate quotations, pricing, and service levels. - Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers. - Uphold safety standards and data integrity. **Key Responsibilities:** - Sell pharmaceutical ingredients to manufacturers within the assigned Ontario territory. - Conduct consultative sales calls, identify customer needs, and propose value‑based solutions. - Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to negotiation and closing. - Coordinate with Purchasing and Operations to ensure proper inventory and order fulfillment. - Maintain up‑to‑date Salesforce (SFDC) records and pipeline reporting. - Provide technical and commercial support to customers, acting as the primary point of contact. - Participate in pricing development, quotation preparation, and contract administration. - Collaborate with local and international teams on distribution opportunities. - Monitor and improve customer satisfaction metrics. **Required Skills:** - 2‑5 years of proven sales experience, preferably in chemical or ingredient distribution. - Strong consultative selling and negotiation abilities. - Ability to manage long sales cycles and complex accounts. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools (Salesforce, Tableau). - Strong business acumen regarding manufacturer‑distributor‑end‑user dynamics. - Effective time‑management and self‑motivation in a remote work setting. - Bilingual (English/French) is a plus. **Required Education & Certifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field preferred. - No specific certifications mandated.
