Job Description
Job Title: Finance & Accounting Internship – Hotel Finance Role Summary: Short‑term (6 months) internship supporting the Hotel’s Finance Department. Intern will manage and reconcile financial operations across accommodation, F&B, and events, contribute to monthly reporting and budgeting, and collaborate with internal business units to improve financial controls and revenue optimization. Expectations: * Duration: 6 months, starting January 2026. * Supervised by the Executive Director of Administration & Finance. * Complete all assigned tasks within deadlines and maintain strict confidentiality. Key Responsibilities: - Verify cash receipts and ensure accuracy of sales across all hotel points of sale (room, F&B, events). - Reconcile total revenue and investigate variances. - Track offers, discounts, and deductions, ensuring compliance with hotel policy. - Assist with accounts payable for F&B suppliers and record transactions related to cash, purchasing, and receivables. - Perform bank reconciliations and help prepare monthly financial dashboards. - Analyze costs, revenues, and consumption to support profitability initiatives. - Coordinate with Accommodation, F&B, and Procurement teams to streamline processes and support internal service needs. Required Skills: - Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data analysis). - Knowledge of Power BI is a plus but not mandatory. - Excellent organisational, rigorous, and discreet handling of financial data. - Strong initiative, problem‑solving ability, and internal customer‑service orientation. - Mandatory fluent English (written and spoken). Required Education & Certifications: * Current student or recent graduate in Finance, Accounting, Management Control, or Hospitality Management (equivalent to 2‑5 years of university study). * No specific certification required.
